Group

Classes

Whether you are a new or novice pet owner, group classes are a wonderful way to train with your pet! Each class includes opportunities for age-appropriate, structured socialization with other pets, people and novel experiences, while also incorporating skills training and addressing common problems. Group classes are kept small, with a maximum of four pets, to ensure the personalized attention that is a hallmark of Ruff to Refined Training.

Click (link coming soon!) here to see what the American Veterinary Society of Animal Behavior has to say about the importance of early socialization.

Proof of up-to-date vaccinations for all pets must be provided, and all pets should be healthy and free from parasites, vomiting or diarrhea in order to attend class.  Puppies must have had their first round of vaccinations seven days prior to attending group classes.

Puppy with rope toy

This group class builds upon appropriate socialization for your puppy, with a greater emphasis on training behavior skills such as walking nicely on leash, settling on a mat, riding in a vehicle, coming when called, waiting at the door and more! We’ll also build behaviors using the three Ds, distance, duration and distraction, to ensure that behaviors will stick in real-life situations. A maximum of four puppies ensures plenty of time to address common problems that often appear as puppies enter their adolescence. This course is appropriate for puppies beginning class between 14-20 weeks of age on first day of cass. Contact Ruff to Refined for next class start date.
